Your own Spectator

Your awareness makes it possible for you to become attentive of aspects within your life. A pivotal proficiency to grasp is to be able to observe your internal thoughts and emotions as if you were a spectator. Whenever you become aware of emotions, thoughts or feelings, you have an opportunity. You can stop briefly, then decide to accept or alter your way of thinking. In doing so, your awareness can result in a more satisfied and well-balanced life.

I am Enough

It is very easy to be inundated in your fears and insecurities when so much of our society is based around aspirational messages.

It is okay to have big dreams, goals, and ambitions. Where many people struggle is in balancing their hopes & dreams with feeling content with the present. Anxiety, depression, and stress can overwhelm your thoughts and emotions until you become bogged in a quagmire of reduced self-worth, and stuck in a self-defeating cycle of comparing your life to somebody else’s.

However, one basic phrase, I am enough, can provide you with a sense of calmness and happiness, transforming the direction of your life for the better

Ruler of your Moods

As you can be the ruler of your sphere of happiness, do not allow other people or events to make you sad or miserable. Be the ruler instead of a servant to your own states of mind. Do not permit your heart to be full of sadness, anguish or despair. It is for you to make up your mind to be happy or satisfied whatever the situation.

Small Things

Busy in our lives, we often forget about all of the small things. Do not dwell on the things which you could have done better. Instead, look at what you have attained and reward your achievements. If there is a possibility for improvement, then use this time wisely to acknowledge the learning opportunity which is being presented. Live your life with awareness, as you choose to remember your achievements and keep their memories alive. They can give you strength for when challenges invariably appear in life.

Observing Emotions

Emotions are the low-level responses occurring within areas of the brain and mental form, in response to stimuli and thoughts. Often short-lived, your emotions are subjectively blended with personal experience, beliefs and memories to create your feelings. Your memories and feelings provide the storehouse of pre-programmed reactions. Take the opportunity to observe your emotional reactions in life, so that you may choose to respond differently.

Destination Dependency

Be mindful of the destination dependency; where it becomes a fixation with the notion that happiness is elsewhere. That happiness can be magically found at your next destination, at your next job or even with a different companion. Until you surrender the concept that happiness is in another place, it is going to never be where you are.

Awaken your Happiness

Happiness signifies different things to each of us; everyone has an individual way of defining happiness, which is unique to our life. Your own spark of happiness is typically perceived as a sensation which develops deep within from satisfaction with life, a sense of wellbeing or joy or moments of pleasure. Happiness is furthermore a range of feelings, which connect to lightness or positivity of emotions.

Improve your state of mind by making a purposeful effort to always look for the positive aspects of life. To focus on these positives, attempt recalling acts of kindness, praise, or just savouring a few awesome moments.
